The Role

The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for technical management, design, support, and administration of the Global corporate network sites LAN/WAN.

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

1. Network Design & Support: • Design and maintain the LAN/WAN infrastructure, which includes Juniper, Cisco, Cisco Meraki, and Extreme Networks Cloud Products. • Manage enterprise Silver Peak SD-WAN for better network optimization. • Oversee the administration and technical management of Palo Alto Firewalls and Global Protect VPN Gateways.

2. Equipment Installation & Configuration: • Install, configure, and maintain a range of networking equipment: o Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Extreme Networks Cloud, and Juniper routers and switches. o Palo Alto Firewalls. o Meraki, Juniper MIST, and Extreme Wi-Fi Network systems.

3. System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: • Ensure smooth operation and handle troubleshooting for any network-related issues. • Provide necessary support and address issues promptly, maintaining optimal network performance.

4. On-Call Rotation: • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours and weekend support for network issues, ensuring network uptime and addressing emergencies outside of regular working hours.

5. Continuous Learning: • Stay updated with the latest network

Qualifications and requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Must have at least one of the following Cisco and Juniper certifications: CCNP, JNCIP-NET, JNCIP-SEC, JNCIE-SEC, and Palo Alto Networks: PCNSE.
• hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper L2/L3 routing and switching.
• Hands on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Silver Peak SD-WAN, Meraki MS and MR cloud products, Juniper SRX Firewalls, Juniper QFX product families
• hands-on in Routing and Switching technologies and protocols: BGP, OSPF, VTP, SPANNING-TREE, VX-LAN, Private VLAN, HSRP, VRRP, MPLS, QoS, GRE, STP, IP SEC, etc.)
• •Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco's router platforms IRS4450, and MX1400 series.
• • Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco's Switch Platforms Catalyst 2960, 3850, 4500, 9200, 9300s, 9400s, 9500s, NX3K, NX9K, Juniper QFX5500, and Extreme Networks series.
• Good communication skills are essential. Must be able to give and receive correct information, explain difficult information in non-technical language and maintain a customer service attitude to all levels of users.
• Able to work independently and creatively problem solve complex technical problems.
• Able to provide leadership, guidance and training to other team members as deem necessary.
• Able to provide accurate estimates of time frames and cost estimates necessary to complete potential projects and develop milestones and project implementation plans.
• Ability to work independently and handle urgent situations on-call.
