About the Role
As a Senior Sales Engineer at Proofpoint DSPM (Normalyze), you’ll collaborate closely with sophisticated security teams and decision-makers. You’ll represent Proofpoint DSPM (Normalyze) to prospective clients while translating their technical challenges and business needs back to our product, engineering, and sales teams. This role is integral to delivering innovative solutions to complex cloud data security challenges and ensuring customer success.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to support pre-sales engagements, uncovering customer needs and crafting tailored solutions.
- Lead engaging product demonstrations, highlighting how Proofpoint DSPM (Normalyze) addresses customers’ data security challenges.
- Conduct Proof of Value (PoV) exercises, managing timelines, resources, and follow-ups to drive successful outcomes.
- Provide in-depth technical responses to Requests for Information/Proposals (RFIs/RFPs).
- Build strong relationships with customers and partners, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to drive feature development based on customer feedback.
- Contribute to marketing and sales efforts, including trade shows, webinars, and recorded content.
- Continuously enhance your knowledge of cloud platforms, cybersecurity trends, and the competitive landscape.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Technical Account Management, Solutions Architecture, or related roles.
- Strong technical expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with container and microservices technologies.
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity (e.g., identity security, incident response, security automation) and data security compliance standards.
- Proven track record in solution selling, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and building lasting technical relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
