The Principal Cybersecurity Analyst is a technical authority and thought leader within the Detection & Response organization. Acting as the primary escalation point for severe, enterprise-wide security threats, the Principal Analyst designs overarching DFIR frameworks, drives advanced threat detection strategies, and translates technical security posture into strategic risk insights for executive leadership. Beyond active threat defense, this role evaluates emerging security platforms, shapes security architecture, and mentors analysts across all tiers.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead enterprise-level incident response efforts for critical security breaches, serving as the ultimate technical escalation point.
  • Create, institutionalize, and govern enterprise-level incident playbooks, detection models, and long-term threat detection strategies.
  • Advise senior leadership and executive stakeholders on technical risks, operational resilience, and security program evolution.
  • Direct complex digital forensic investigations, memory analysis, and reverse-engineering efforts across multi-cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Lead security projects, evaluate emerging defensive technologies, conduct architecture reviews, and align security capabilities with business goals.
  • Lead comprehensive post-incident reviews, transforming lessons learned into long-term architectural and operational improvements.
  • Mentor and train analysts across all tiers on advanced offensive and defensive techniques while shaping internal DFIR standards.

Your background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or digital forensics.
  • Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), or equivalent high-level DFIR/cybersecurity certifications.
  • Expert-level understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF), security tools, cloud platforms, and modern enterprise architecture.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading security initiatives that directly influence organizational risk outcomes and security architecture.
  • Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical depth, attack vectors, and strategy clearly to
  • C-suite and executive stakeholders.
  • Advanced capability in utilizing scripting, automation, and custom detection tools to streamline incident handling at enterprise scale.
