Job Summary:

The Senior Network Security Engineer, based in Algosystems in Athens Greece, will join our NetPro team.

We are open to both experienced Senior Engineers and strong Mid-level professionals who are ready to take the next step in their career and grow into a Senior Network Security Engineer role.

What You Will Do:

The role focuses on the design, implementation and support of complex enterprise network and network security solutions across diverse customer environments.

The role offers the opportunity to deepen your technical expertise, take increasing ownership of complex implementations and gradually become involved in solution design, architecture and technical decision-making.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise network and network security solutions across diverse customer environments.
• Configure, deploy and optimize Cisco routing & switching infrastructure.
• Implement and manage Fortinet security solutions, including FortiGate environments.
• Configure and support firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN and network segmentation solutions.
• Work with Web Application Firewall (WAF) and wireless solutions.
• Participate in new implementations, migrations, upgrades and infrastructure transformation projects.
• Troubleshoot complex network connectivity, performance and security incidents.
• Work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers, Project Managers, vendors and technology partners throughout project delivery.
• Participate, according to your level of experience, in technical design, architecture and planning of complex solutions.
• Take increasing technical ownership of projects and implementations as your experience develops.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, implementation plans and configuration guidelines.
• Ensure best practices regarding network security, availability, performance and scalability.

Qualifications and Work Experience

• Professional experience in Network Engineering / Network Security Engineering.
• We welcome applications from both Senior Engineers and strong Mid-level Engineers looking to progress to the next level of their career.
• Good hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, particularly routing & switching.
• Hands-on exposure to Fortinet solutions, particularly FortiGate.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs and network segmentation.
• Practical experience with firewalls and VPN technologies.
• Exposure to SD-WAN, WAF or enterprise wireless solutions will be considered an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with enterprise network environments and/or customer projects.
• Ability and motivation to continuously develop technically and gradually take ownership of more complex solutions.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
