The Machine Learning Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving the success of our business by spearheading our newly formed AI department. As AI continues to revolutionize industries, our company is committed to staying at the forefront of innovation. This role will lead strategic initiatives, leveraging advanced technologies like Python, LangChain, Deep Learning, NLP, LLMs, HuggingFace transformers and other AI/ML technologies and libraries, to develop cutting-edge solutions that address our business needs and propel us ahead of the competition.

What does SUCCESS look like?

Success in this role is marked by the successful implementation of AI-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency, drive revenue growth, and deliver measurable business impact. Additionally, success is measured by the continuous improvement and innovation within the AI department, positioning the company as a leader in AI technology.

The MUST Haves:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python programming and SQL
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as LangChain, LLMs, and HuggingFace.
• Experience with Machine Learning libraries, such as XGBoost/CatBoost.
• Experience with Deep Learning platforms, such as Pytorch or Tensorflow.
• Experience in ML engineering, modeling, data pipelines, data extraction and processing.
• Strong knowledge of Machine Learning model training and evaluation for classification and regression tasks.
• Strong knowledge of Natural Language Processing tasksProven track record of fine-tuning and/or creating AI/ML models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of modern API design and RESTful principles.
• Possess a deep understanding of AI/ML concepts, methodologies, and technologies.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Python programming and experience with LangChain, LLMs, and HuggingFace, as well as libraries for Deep Learning (e.g., PyTorch, Tensorflow), ML (e.g., XGBoost/CatBoost) and NLP (e.g., spaCy, NLTK)
• Showcase a track record of successfully fine-tuning and/or creating ML models.\
• Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
• Ability to write high-quality, maintainable code in accordance with coding standards and best practices.
• Uphold high coding standards and participate in code reviews.

The Nice to Haves:

• Master's degree or PhD in AI, Machine Learning, or related field.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed computing.
• Experience with big-data processing frameworks, such as Apache Spark.
• Knowledge of the Scala or Rust programming languages is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Certification in AI/ML-related disciplines.
• Prior experience in leading AI projects or teams.
• Prior hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
