We’re looking for a talented and team-driven Senior WordPress Developer to join us on our journey. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Procurify is looking for a proven Senior WordPress Developer to join our team and lead the strategy, development and management of the Procurify website. The ideal candidate has the vision, passion and technical experience and expertise to build flexible, scalable and extensible websites that deliver exceptional visitor experiences.

The ideal candidate will be buyer-focused, code-savvy and conversion-minded, using data to understand visitor behavior and analyze conversion effectiveness to continuously improve and optimize website performance.

In this role, you will lead strategy, development and management of the website, responsible for choosing the right technology, hosting environment and development workflow that will best support our agile and fast-paced business. You will support and enable the content team to quickly and easily create, publish and update website pages in addition to developing and releasing new features that will keep our website ahead of the market.

Success in this role will be realized by working closely with the Director of Digital Marketing, the marketing team and cross-functional teams to understand the business goals and objectives to build a world-class website that offers an unmatched visitor experience, produces high-quality sales leads and supports exponential revenue growth.

Who we’re looking for 

WordPress Development

• 5+ years of bespoke B2B WordPress website development experience

• Expert in building custom WordPress themes from scratch (no page builders)

• Custom WordPress plugin development

• Extensive experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) Pro

• Strong understanding of PHP, WordPress hooks, and filters

• Proficient with custom post types, taxonomies, and structured content development

• Strong knowledge of WordPress security best practices

Frontend Development

• Style websites using SCSS with a focus on modular, reusable styles and performance

• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design for all builds

• Proficiency in JavaScript and jQuery

• Experience with performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, asset minification, etc)

• Deep understanding of accessibility (WCAG 2.1+) and semantic HTML

Technical SEO & Performance

• Expertise in technical SEO (structured data, schema markup, site architecture)

• Strong knowledge of SEO-friendly site builds (clean HTML, indexability, proper heading structure)

• Experience with performance optimization (server-side rendering, caching, CDNs)

• Ability to reduce JavaScript execution time and optimize Core Web Vitals

• Familiarity with Google Search Console, GA4 and RankMath

Version Control & Deployment

• Familiarity with local development tools (WP-CLI, Docker, LocalWP)

• Knowledge of staging environments and CI/CD workflows

SEO Strategy & Content Planning

• Ability to translate SEO strategy into development decisions

• Understanding of keyword research, content silos, and internal linking strategies

• Experience building custom landing pages optimized for conversions and search visibility

• Familiarity with A/B testing and data-driven SEO improvements
