As the sole technical resource responsible for developing the data architecture of our plant, you will have the chance to enable our business to improve the potential of AI and deliver actionable insights.

Your team

This role reports directly to the ITOT Manager, who is based at the Port Qasim plant. As part of our data-first and AI-enabled mentality organization, you will work closely with functional operations teams. You will be supported by an extensive ecosystem of Data Engineers and Scientists regionally and globally, who will coach, mentor, and help you hone your technical skills.

How success looks like

Data Pipelines Development – High quality and Efficient data pipelines. Scalable and reusable components. Accurate and reliable data being fed into Command centres piloted by Generative AI. Application and Technology Architecture artifacts meet iRisk expectations.

Data Governance –Data is clean and well-organized with data quality standards documented. Results are communicated successfully, and work must be clearly documented.

AI/ML Modelling – Every algorithm & analysis addresses a clear and valuable business problem. All models & algorithms are accurate and valid. All algorithms progress through the defined stages of the organizations Algorithm Life Cycle and undergo a formal Model Risk Assessment. Data science algorithms enforce to production quality coding standards

 UIUX – Ensure adoption of AI/ML solutions with enhanced user interface and experience.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Build data & analytics solutions in Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud or AWS– craft technical solutions from approved architecture to acquire, process, store and provide insights based on the processed data.

  • Develop within existing designs of various solutions in Microsoft Azure environment to help the business get valuable insights.

  • Work on automation and optimization of internal processes in Azure

  • Quantify improvement in business areas resulting from use of the algorithms and modeling.

  • Work with Data and Software Engineering teams to productionize algorithms and ensure data governance standards.

  • Lead technical innovation. Constructively reinvent current Data Science practices and design new and better models that changes current and future business processes.

  • Directly give to the design and development of scaled Data Science algorithms.

  • Apply thorough technical knowledge to substantial datasets with exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model building to deliver accurate and impactful algorithms.

  • Work with multi-functional and multinational teams within and outside of P&G.

  • Focus on key cases' development within Data & Analytics + MS Azure, Google Cloud or AWS

  • Provisioning of AI solutions for plant teams with high user interface and experience scores.

  • Flowing the data into the Data Lake for scaled utilization.

Job Qualifications

Role Requirements

  • Graduate degree/Post Graduate Degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Math, Statistics, Physics, etc.)
  • Experience of working as a Data Engineer/Data Scientist in a multinational organization.
  • Shown experience in Python/PySpark, R, Scala and SQL/SparkSQL programming skills.
  • Experience in Big Data/ETL (Spark and Databricks preferred).
  • Experience in implementing projects & solutions in cloud (Azure/GCP preferred, AWS).
  • Ability to work in an iterative process.
  • Knowledge regarding DMBOK standards.
  • Knowledge and / or experience with using or building CI/CD tools, Git, etc.  
  • Previous experience or understanding of Data Models & UIUX.
  • Proficient in Spoken and Written English
  • Experience in applying analytic methodologies such as Machine Learning, Optimization, and Simulation to real-world problems.
  • Proven leadership in applying and scaling Analytic and Machine Learnings techniques to deliver significant insights from data (in academia or in industry).
  • Experience with large datasets and cloud computing: GCP, Azure.
  • Experience with Dev Ops environment: Git, CICD, etc.
