Overview of the job

As P&G is continues to move its workloads to Cloud in the coming years, we are looking for strong cloud network product engineers with expertise in network and cloud administration. You will be part of the Global Cloud Hosting Operations Organization that owns and is accountable for delivery of Cloud enabled Infrastructure and Platform Operations to support P&G Applications in the cloud.

Your team

This role reports to the IT Director of Cloud Hosting Operations and will work with a 24 x 7 team supporting operations and product engineering for Azure Platform.

How success looks like

You will be a major contributor to building the cloud network product roadmap and strategy. You will help operationalize the cloud network resiliency design and drive investigation and resolution for core and inter-cloud network connectivity incidents. You will collaborate directly with cloud and application teams to provide support for existing solutions and consulting on how to enable connectivity for their servers in the cloud. You will receive coaching and mentorship from our experienced IT leaders in the company and will be given the opportunity to continuously grow your technical skills and applied mastery in Cloud, Networking, and Automation.

Responsibilities of the role

  • As a cloud product engineer, you will be accountable for driving operational excellence and implementing agile network engineering solutions for applications in the Cloud.
  • You will leverage your network administration skills to lead the design, implementation, and support of core network connectivity requirements in the Cloud, compliant with architecture and security standards.
  • You will contribute to designing and implementing standard operational processes & procedures (SOP) independently, identifying, designing, building and implementing appropriate solutions to remediate network operational deficiencies, providing L3 support for incidents and problems, and participating in emergency troubleshooting sessions with other product teams as needed.

Job Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field
  • At least 5 years experience in Network Administration, managing and supporting core and edge network infrastructure in the areas of Routing, Firewalls, DNS, and Proxies.
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills (English) with both technical and non-technical colleagues from geographically distributed teams on all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical, debugging and troubleshooting skills, ability to apply critical thinking and a sense of urgency for troubleshooting incidents and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to management, team members, application owners and technology professionals.
  • Good understanding of the network components required to set-up or migrate infrastructure to the Cloud.
  • Results-oriented with a strong ability to prioritize and deliver results.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of network routing & switching, firewalls, DNS, F5, WAN Circuits, MPLS, VPN, VRFs, P2P
  • Understanding of cloud networking concepts such as Express route circuits, virtual network gateways, VNETs, subnets, interconnect proxy, etc.
  • Experience with applications and services such as; Cisco ACS/ISE, CA Spectrum, Plixer, Infoblox, Netscout, Netbrain, ThousandEyes, ServiceNow and Wireshark
  • Hands on experience in Microsoft Azure Administration
  • IT operations background and/or ITIL foundations knowledge
  • Experience in scripting, coding and development of automation solutions, preferably in the infrastructure domain
  • Strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and scripting languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Bash Shell, PowerShell, Puppet, Terraform)
  • Experience in automating routine administrative tasks
  • Independently led automations and engineering for multiple projects in infrastructure
  • Problem-Certified on one or more of the following: Microsoft Azure AZ-104, CCNA or CCNP, ITIL4 Foundations, DevOps Foundation, SRE Foundation
