Printify strives for excellence with engineering squads devoted to each platform component, resulting in sustainable, clean code and minimized technical debt. We’re looking for a Staff Platform Engineer to join our Engineering Productivity squad, which is leveraging cutting-edge technology to optimize engineering processes and deliver high-quality products with efficiency. The team is committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration, ensuring the development process is streamlined and efficient. They are dedicated to enhancing productivity by implementing automation and providing Printify's engineers with the best tools and training available to excel and deliver exceptional value to Printify's customers.

  • We also use practices such as Pair Programming, Refactoring, Code Reviews, Regular knowledge-sharing sessions, A/B testing, and Continuous Delivery which are an important part of our development process

Your responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain core platform components, services, internal APIs, and systems that serve Printify engineering staff
  • Solve technical problems of high scope and complexity
  • Help identify areas of improvement in the codebase and help contribute to making it better
  • Participate in pair programming, code refactoring and reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and testing
  • Develop skills by applying best practices and technologies
  • Contribute to the company’s engineering culture

We expect you to have:

  • At least 10 years of proven work experience in roles like Senior/Staff Engineer
  • Strong expertise in NodeJS/TypeScript
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Observability), beyond mere usage — proven ability to build and manage infrastructure
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design and patterns
  • Knowledge of design principles and development practices
  • Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English

It would be a bonus if you have:

  • Previous experience working in a Platform team
  • Experience with continuous integration systems
  • Experience with building Infrastructure
  • Experience with PHP
  • The ideal candidate will not only be proficient in NodeJS and TypeScript but will also have a deep understanding of and hands-on experience with building and managing infrastructure on AWS and ideally also Kubernetes. They will be able to demonstrate advanced skills in these areas during the interview process, showing a track record of solving complex infrastructure challenges and implementing robust, scalable solutions.
