Systems Engineer Intern

• Assist in maintaining high-performance editing systems and workstations.
• Help set up and configure video editing machines (Windows/Mac).
• Support management of NAS storage, shared drives, and media servers.
• Monitor and optimise internal networks for fast file transfers.
• Assist with LAN setup for editing bays and collaborative workspaces.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues affecting editing workflows.
• Help manage user accounts, access permissions, and backup systems.
• Support cloud storage integrations (Google Drive, Dropbox, Frame.io).
• Ensure regular backups and data integrity for project files.
• Document system configurations and troubleshooting steps.

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in IT, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, the OSI model, IP addressing, LAN connectivity, and file sharing.
• Familiarity with Windows, macOS and Linux environments.
• Interest in working with creative teams and media workflows.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.

• Experience with NAS systems (TrueNAS, Synology, QNAP).
• Knowledge of high-speed networking (Gigabit/10GbE).
• Understanding of RAID, backups, and data recovery basics.
• Basic scripting or automation skills.
• Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, VirtualBox, Hyper-V).
