Senior Product Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Data Engineer to join our team.

The main tasks for this role will be building and maintaining a robust data pipeline, conducting in-depth user behavior research, helping design and create new product metrics, and performing modeling. The primary purpose is to ensure Praktika is equipped with high-quality data to understand key metrics, identify amplifiers and conversion drivers, and gain insights into user behavior from acquisition to retention stages.

Your days will be filled by:

• Design, build, own, and maintain scalable data management systems.
• Ensure data systems meet business requirements for quality and integrity.
• Integrate new data management technologies and tools.
• Collaborate with business teams to improve data models and increase data accessibility.
• Conduct experiments, A/B testing, and develop dashboards.
• Create custom software components and analytics applications.
• Develop processes for data modeling, mining, and production.
• Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
• Monitor KPIs and provide actionable insights.
• Ensure consistent data flow between marketing and product analytic tools.
• Provide regular reports on growth metrics and performance.
  
  

You would be a great fit for the role if: 

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with expertise in building and optimizing large-scale data systems.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis, A/B testing, and data visualization.
• Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Amplitude, Postgres) and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau).
• Experience with big data tools and relational/NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgres).
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools (e.g. Airflow).
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. 
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
