At Postman, one of our goals is to create net new developers in the world, and we believe that AI needs to play a key role. With the advances in Generative AI we’ve seen over the last year, it’s clear that it has immense potential across a wide variety of user workflows. We launched Postbot in open beta last year, and are looking for talented builders to join our team.

Full-stack experience is valuable. With Generative AI, there’s a lot of learning to be done around engineering best practices and user interaction patterns. The ecosystem around applied AI is changing every day, and we need to leverage that to ensure we deliver high value to our users.

To help us with this, we’re seeking exceptional engineers to join us. If you want to get your hands dirty and work across the stack in a rapid environment that combines new technology with Postman’s production scale, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do.

Generative AI is such a new field that best practices and recommendations aren’t fully developed, which means there’s a lot for us to experiment and learn. That being said, here’s what has worked for us so far:

• Build and experiment with new ideas that will impact millions of people around the world.
• Rapidly onboard onto Postman’s tech stack, to ensure easier development, faster iteration, and a mature engineering layer for Postbot.
• Build integrated product experiences that bridge the gap between the cutting edge of AI development and well-crafted solutions for our 25 million users.
• Work with the team to improve velocity and quality over time.

About You.

• An experienced and product-minded Engineer (2-5 years+) who has the desire, flexibility, and ability to wear multiple hats
• Experience in NodeJS or working with complex React applications
• Background of building and shipping world-class products at scale
• Passion and interest in AI
• You have a "validate first and perfect later" mentality
• You are curious and excited about how things work under the hood
• Self-driven, self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team
