Senior QA Engineer 

Polly is hiring a Senior QA Engineer who will focus on comprehensive quality assurance on all websites, web applications, and digital solutions.  The Senior QA Engineer will ensure quality delivery of our Polly core products supporting dealership auto retail sales and call center insurance agency operations. In this position, you will perform comprehensive quality assurance on all websites, web applications, and digital solutions to ensure they’re functional and to aesthetic standards. This position will own, maintain, and enhance the regression test-cases for all products   

Roles & Responsibilities 

• Recognize when and where to develop automation to improve efficiency   
• Make recommendations on appropriate testing plans and techniques, based on experience and industry best practices   
• Mentor team members and assist with technical solutioning and brainstorming   
• Requires and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of particular field of specialization to the completion of assignments. 
• Collaborate with engineers to review work as it happens and ensure quality in near-real-time   
• May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on‐going activities or objective 
• Requires in‐depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines 
• Works independently with limited supervision 

Qualifications 

• BA or BS degree required and/or 5+ years of experience in a related field. 
• 5+ years of experience as professional software tester 
• Embody product thinking - consistently asking "why" and taking a multi-view of a problem. 
• Strong engineering aptitude and ability to learn new tools and technologies   
• Understanding of event-driven software architectures   
• Strong technical aptitude, analysis, and problem-solving skills   
• Experience working on cross-functional, high-performing teams. 
• Proven ability to be self-directed and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.  
• Demonstrated effective leadership by earning trust, respect, and fostering the development of self-organizing teams. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; ability to give clear and consistent instructions to team members required. 
• Ability to communicate ideas, alternatives, and solutions with distributed teams.  
• Ability to handle multiple issues concurrently and effectively navigate high-pressure situations. 
• Analytical thinker with attention to detail and accuracy.
