DevOps/Platform Engineer

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for a skilled DevOps/Platform Engineer with a strong focus on Terraform, Azure, and Developer Experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our existing Azure based cloud infrastructure using Terraform, while also ensuring a smooth and efficient developer experience across our software development lifecycle.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Passionate and interested in focusing on force-multiplying platform work that makes all developers more productive and happier

• Design and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, focusing on reusability and maintainability.

• Manage and automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment on Microsoft Azure, leveraging services like App Services, Cloud Storage, PaaS offerings, and Networking.

• Build and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps pipelines.

• Collaborate with application developers to understand their needs and implement solutions that improve their experience, such as self-service infrastructure provisioning and automated deployments.

• Learn a variety of application development stacks as needed to best support developers on those stacks.

• Monitor and maintain infrastructure health, proactively identifying and resolving issues.

• Stay up-to-date on the latest DevOps tools and technologies, including Terraform, Azure, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of DevOps best practices within the team.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 3+ years of experience OR 6 years of experience equivalent combination of industry-related professional experience

• A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, preference of 6 years experience.

• Expert knowledge of Terraform and experience with IaC principles.

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure and its core services.

• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure DevOps.

• Excellent scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Prometheus).

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Certifications in Azure or other cloud platforms.

Salary Range $80,000-$115,000
