Job Overview

The Business Insights Analyst is responsible for assessing and improving the insurance adoption and overall cost of insurance customer acquisition at dealership. This role will work primarily with the Dealer Success team, creating the analytical tools and actionable business insights to drive business efficiency and productivity. This role will also work cross functionally to ensure data is accurately being captured, and both internal-facing and external-facing reporting needs are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Performance Evaluation:
  • Analyze insurance data, including both growth and profitability metrics for each dealership on Polly platform.
  • Assess dealership performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) such as utilization and profitability.
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable strategies.
  • Provide insights on cost-saving opportunities and revenue growth potential.
• Data Reporting and Visualization:
  • Create dashboards and reports to communicate performance trends and insights.
  • Present findings to dealer success director and managers.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to enhance decision-making.
• Process Improvement (Nice to have)
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Propose process enhancements to streamline dealership engagement strategies.
  • Implement best practices to enhance dealer and user experience and drive profitability.
• Market Research (Nice to have)
  • Stay informed about insurance and automotive industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies to compare dealership performance with peer group or state average.
  • Provide recommendations based on market insights.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Dealer Success, Finance, Underwriting and Data teams
  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to dealer operations.
  • Foster a collaborative environment to achieve collective goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
• 2+ years of prior experience in insurance, financial analysis or automotive dealership operations
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, PowerBI).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Detail-oriented, analytical mindset, and problem-solving abilities.

Annual Salary of 58k-75k depending on experience
