Senior Java Developer with Italian (Integration & Azure)

You will be:

• developing and maintaining backend services in Java and Spring Boot,
• building REST APIs and integrating services within a distributed environment,
• consuming and processing platform events and customer data in a near real-time integration landscape,
• implementing event-driven solutions using Azure Event Hub or Kafka,
• persisting and managing customer data in Azure SQL databases,
• designing and maintaining microservices deployed on Azure,
• working with enterprise integrations across Salesforce, MuleSoft, and Azure,
• contributing to API design and documentation using OpenAPI / Swagger,
• working with Docker and Kubernetes,
• collaborating with the team on code quality, testing, and continuous delivery.

 

 

Your profile:

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java development,
• strong hands-on experience with Java 11+ and Spring Boot,
• solid experience developing REST APIs,
• practical experience with Azure SQL or other SQL databases,
• experience with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms such as Azure Event Hub or Kafka,
• experience working with enterprise integrations and distributed systems,
• good knowledge of OpenAPI / Swagger,
• experience with Git and Azure DevOps,
• hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes,
• practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery,
• good understanding of microservices architecture,
• good command of English (min. B2) and Italian (min. B2),
• willingness to travel occasionally to Italy to visit the client.

 

Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

 

Nice to have:

• Experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work.

• Interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
