GCP Data Engineer (migration project)

You will be:

• analyzing the existing business logic implemented in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL,
• migrating and transforming legacy Oracle-based processing into BigQuery and dbt,
• leveraging AI/GenAI tools to accelerate code transformation, documentation, and migration activities,
• validating business logic consistency between Oracle and GCP implementations,
• implementing new business requirements related to customer record grouping and identification,
• preparing the solution for future Golden Record capabilities,
• developing, testing, optimizing, and maintaining data processing solutions on the cloud platform,
• collaborating with architects, business analysts, data owners, and platform teams,
• producing and maintaining technical documentation for implemented solutions.

Your profile:

• hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP),
• experience with BigQuery,
• experience with dbt (Data Build Tool),
• experience migrating data processing logic from legacy platforms to cloud-based environments,
• ability to analyze and understand complex business logic implemented in existing systems,
• experience designing, developing, testing, and optimizing data processing solutions,
• experience validating business rules and ensuring functional consistency across platforms,
• experience working with large-scale data transformation projects,
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
• sbility to collaborate effectively with architects, business analysts, data owners, and technical teams,
• ability to create and maintain technical documentation,
• strong communication skills.

Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

• experience with Oracle,
• experience with PL/SQL development and analysis,
• experience using AI/GenAI tools for software modernization, code transformation, or documentation generation,
• knowledge of customer master data management concepts,
• experience with customer identification, matching, or record grouping processes,
• experience supporting Golden Record or similar master data management initiatives,
• experience within the banking or financial services sector.
