Summary

You will be at the forefront of designing and building a state-of-the-art market data management system that supports both real-time and end-of-day processes for the Macro business. This role requires a combination of deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership capabilities to ensure that the system meets our rigorous standards for data accuracy, performance, and scalability. You should  have a strong technical background in either market data or risk systems, combined with leadership skills to guide a team of data engineers and analysts through a new system buildout.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the technical specifications and guide the build out of a system to support an end-to-end market data lifecycle, including acquisition, normalization, control, distribution, and archiving
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of market data to trading and analytical systems, with a strong focus on market data needed to value the firm portfolio both intraday and at end-of-day
  • Optimize data pipelines and infrastructure to handle large volumes of market data efficiently and with minimal latency
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of talented engineers and analysts while fostering a collaborative environment and driving best practices in data management
  • Collaborate with market data vendors and internal stakeholders to onboard new vendors, manage existing data feeds, and resolve issues on an ongoing basis
  • Implement and maintain data quality standards and processes. Monitor data integrity and address any discrepancies or issues promptly
  • Oversee the integration of market data with various trading platforms, analytics tools, and reporting systems
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in market data technologies. Propose and implement enhancements to improve data systems and workflows.

What’s Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in market data management or a related role, with some experience in a leadership position
  • Proficiency in market data systems, data warehousing, ETL processes, and programming languages (e.g., C#, SQL, Python).
  • Deep understanding of market data products, trading systems, and financial instruments.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, manage projects, and drive results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards
