We are in search of a Sr. Web Development Engineer who possesses a passion for developing web-based applications and platforms. Ideal candidates are those who exhibit initiative, adaptability in dynamic environments, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a comprehensive understanding of development processes. Your role will be crucial in developing our web products to align with both our high internal standards and the expectations of our customers.
As a Web Development Engineer, you'll be at the heart of our mission to deliver seamless, innovative, and robust web applications.
What You'll Do:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications that meet our users' needs and expectations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, QA engineers, and project managers, to define, design, and ship new features.
- Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code in languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and potentially server-side languages like Python, Ruby, or Node.js.
- Implementing responsive design principles to ensure our web applications work on a variety of devices and screen sizes.
- Participating in code reviews to maintain high development standards and to foster an environment of learning and collaboration.
- Staying updated with emerging web technologies and applying them in ongoing and future projects to enhance our web applications' performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Troubleshooting and debugging issues that arise during the development and deployment stages.
- Working independently with minimal supervision to meet project timelines and deliverables effectively.
What You'll Bring:
- Education Requirements: MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent. Alternatively, a BA/BS in the same fields with 3+ years of relevant industry experience in web development.
- Proficiency in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and experience with modern web development frameworks (such as React, Angular, or Vue.js).
- Understanding of server-side programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, Ruby on Rails, Node.js) is a plus.
- Experience with database management and integration, whether in SQL or NoSQL environments.
- Knowledge of best practices in web security, ensuring the safety and integrity of user data.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapt to changes, and learn quickly.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality user experiences.
