Platform Engineer

DevOps Team:

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance our Backstage-powered developer portal. You will work closely with Platform engineering, DevOps, and application teams to improve developer workflows, centralize service discovery, and drive automation. This role is ideal for engineers passionate about developer experience, internal tooling, and open-source ecosystems.

Challenges that await you:

• Creating a useful and intuitive environment that simplifies complex processes and makes integration with infrastructure smooth
• Designing and implementing self-service workflows that balance automation and control
• Ensuring seamless integration of CI/CD pipelines, service catalogs, and observability tools
• Driving adoption of the platform across diverse engineering teams with varying needs
• Keeping up with emerging trends in platform engineering and developer productivity
• Maintaining high availability and performance in a dynamic cloud environment

What makes you a great fit:

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience with Golang, Python, or other backend languages
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven ability to integrate internal tools with APIs, GraphQL, and webhooks
• Understanding of observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, etc.)
• Familiarity with OAuth, RBAC, and security best practices
• Passion for developer experience, automation, and open-source contributions

Your bonus skills:

• Familiarity with Backstage or similar internal developer portals
• Knowledge of Temporal or other workflow orchestration tools
