What are we looking for?

We are looking for a DevOps Team Lead to join our AI revolution! You'll lead a small, senior team and

own the foundation our engineering teams build on. Your team's work will directly impact how fast

and confidently we ship — from architecting resilient cloud infrastructure to getting our next

generation of GenAI agents running in production. You'll stay hands-on while you lead, set the

technical direction for DevOps at Planck, and partner closely with our Platform team and with R&D

leadership across Applied Systems.

There's plenty still to figure out — most of all, how this team plugs into Applied's wider DevOps and

Cloud Engineering organization. You'll have a real say in shaping that.

What will you do?

• Lead and grow a team of DevOps engineers — 1:1s, performance, and career development

• Set the team’s priorities and technical direction, and align them with R&D leadership

• Shape how the team fits into Applied’s DevOps and Cloud Engineering organization - how work

comes in, how priorities get set, and how decisions get made

• Stay hands-on: architect and build cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling

alongside your team

Build what it takes to run our GenAI and agent-based services in production - scalable,

observable, and efficient to operate

• Own production reliability for the team’s services: SLOs, observability, incident response, and

on-call

• Drive cloud cost efficiency and strengthen our security posture, together with the Platform and

Security teams

Requirements

What should you have?

• 6+ years of hands-on DevOps experience

• 3+ years managing a DevOps team - direct reports, performance, and growth

• Experience managing a team within a global organization, reporting to a remote US-based

manager

• Deep expertise with Kubernetes in production environments

• Strong experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Proven experience building and maintaining complex CI/CD pipelines

• Solid hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps (Terraform, Pulumi, or

similar)

• Experience owning production reliability end-to-end - observability, incident response, and on-

call

• Fluent English, and comfortable with US working norms and overlap hours
