Plaid’s Finance team builds the financial infrastructure to enable sustainable, scalable growth and to ensure attractive long-term economics. Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Lead, this person will have a great opportunity to support company-wide source-to-pay (S2P) processes and systems in a dynamic, high-growth environment and have a measurable impact on Plaid’s bottom line. In this role, you will support Sourcing and Procurement operations and develop strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to keep the business ahead of emerging procurement issues.
Responsibilities
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to meet their purchasing needs while prioritizing ROI, cost efficiency, and value
- Reviewing and triaging vendor purchase requests per current policies to drive spend under management and compliance
- Execute RFI/ RFPs and partner with business on vendor evaluation and selection
- Managing renewals and supporting ad-hoc cost savings projects
- Serving as a liaison between Legal, Finance, TechOps, Risk, Accounting and other key internal business partners from vendor request to contract execution
- Driving procurement system user adoption through training, coaching and sharing best practices with employees regarding requisitioning, change orders and receiving
- Proactively identifying and implementing improvements to Procurement processes, systems, and controls
- Reporting operational KPIs
Qualifications
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management preferably in a technology or services / consulting organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field
- Familiarity with Procurement systems (Coupa, Zip, Ariba, SAP, Oracle, Ironclad etc.)
- Strong skills in time management, negotiating software and professional services contracts and execution on tight deadlines
- Self-starter with outstanding analytical and organizational skills
- Efficiency in problem-solving and responding to internal and external stakeholders
- Experience working in a high-growth dynamic environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
