Description

Join us as an Manager, Systems Engineering and lead our infrastructure and DevOps operations. Oversee networks, systems, and cloud environments to ensure performance, security, and scalability, while guiding a skilled team toward operational excellence.

The Job:

DevOps & Infrastructure Management

• Lead DevOps initiatives covering CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and environment reliability across staging, UAT, and production.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and scalability of cloud and on-premise systems.
• Optimise infrastructure performance, cost efficiency, and compliance with data governance frameworks (e.g. ISO27001, SOC2).

Network & IT Operations

• Manage internal network systems, firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
• Oversee IT support operations, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation for network topology, device inventory, and access management logs.

Office Workspace & Asset Management

• Supervise office workspace allocation, IT asset lifecycle, and hardware procurement.
• Coordinate with HR and Admin to ensure efficient onboarding and workstation setup.
• Uphold safety, ergonomic, and facility management standards.

Security & Compliance

• Implement and enforce IT security protocols and compliance frameworks.
• Monitor potential threats and apply proactive risk mitigation measures.
• Conduct periodic audits on system access, configuration, and security controls.

Leadership & Strategic Planning

• Mentor and guide the Systems Engineering team to deliver high operational standards.
• Develop SOPs, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Report system metrics, incidents, and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements

The Person:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT operations, DevOps, or infrastructure management such as using Terragrunt, including 2 years in leadership.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Proficient in network administration, VPN configuration, and firewall management.
• Familiar with ArgoCD, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experienced with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK) and system automation.
• Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO27001, SOC2, GDPR) is an added advantage.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Organised, analytical, and committed to driving high system performance and reliability.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with high-performance frontend technologies such as WebGL, WebAssembly, and Canvas API.
• Possesses knowledge in TypeScript and ReactJS or NodeJS.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Willing to try new tools and technologies, e.g Claude and Cursor.
