Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Requirement Analysis: Engage in the requirement analysis, product testing, and maintenance of the TiDB Cloud core platform.
  • Collaborate for High-Quality Services: Work closely with TiDB Cloud R&D and product teams to deliver high-quality closed-loop online services and enhance customer experience.
  • Strategize and ensure high-quality Kernel Evolution: Engage deeply with the TiDB kernel R&D team to develop the TiDB kernel evolution strategy on TiDB Cloud and ensure the quality of kernel releases.
  • Facilitate Technical Assessments: Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members to conduct technical risk assessments, project time estimations, and test result evaluations.
  • Develop and Evaluate Testing Plans: Create testing plan specifications, assess test design documents for key modules, and actively participate in the design of test cases for key modules/services. Analyze test results to provide service quality assessments.
  • Automate Testing Processes: Design and maintain an automated testing platform to ensure that daily automated test coverage meets or exceeds 80% of all scenarios.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer-related fields and possess over 3 years of experience in testing large-scale cloud services.
  • Demonstrate experience in testing the foundations of large cloud services and their related applications, along with familiarity with related testing technologies and tools.
  • Show familiarity with open-source cloud service machine application automated testing tools, and have in-depth work experience with at least one of AWS / GCP / Azure / AliCloud.
  • Prove familiarity with system performance and stress testing, and experience with relational databases and NoSQL data, with a familiarity with TiDB being advantageous.
  • Have experience in agile development processes, be familiar with Linux system operations, and possess basic system management capabilities.
  • Exhibit proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Python / Go / Rust / C++ / Java.
  • Display a strong spirit of innovation and the ability to leverage new technologies to improve work efficiency.
