Senior React Developer

At Picnic, we’re revolutionizing the way people buy groceries with our affordable and sustainable grocery service. We do almost everything in-house, developing cutting-edge technologies and processes to ensure we continue to grow rapidly without missing a beat. Our Web Development team supports our three publicly facing sites that power our career pages, blogs, and information about Picnic! Some things we work on: architecting “Web” at Picnic, migrating legacy systems and CMS to React and Next.js, and collaborating with teams ranging from recruitment to customer facing teams on a daily basis. 

What you'll do

• Contribution: Work on our publicly facing Picnic sites, implementing new features on a daily basis
• Mastery: Creatively bring ideas to life on our websites through high-quality design and development 
• Collaboration: Collaborate with designers and product owners to create specifications for new features and designs, and the recruitment team to ensure the best candidate experience
• Impact: Display a high level of ownership and drive processes to make our websites more secure, reliable, and easy-to-use
• Communication: Leverage  your communication skills in a cross-functional team, including to mentor our amazing team of web engineers
• Our Tech: TypeScript and React, Redux, Styled Components, Jest, Storybook

We’re looking for

• 4+ years in full-time software development, of which 3+ in TypeScript, React
• Experience in shipping high-traffic applications
• A willingness and desire to work with a variety of technologies
• Hands-on experience with (unit) testing
• A problem-solving mindset 
• The confidence to transform high-level business requirements into a technical plan
• Experience working in a product-based company
• The ability to coach fellow developers using a structured communication style
