About this role:
Pickle Robot Company is looking for an Senior Electrical Engineer with experience with system design, analog/digital printed circuit boards, power electronics, system wiring/interfaces, compliance design and test as well as Production support. They will lead all the electrical engineering design, test, and support within its cross-functional R&D team. 

What You’ll Accomplish:

  • Designs, reviews, and manages electrical systems and subsystems focusing on safety, EMC, and related applicable compliance when required
  • Power, control, and communications architecture and design for product and its application environment
  • Development of electrical requirements and specifications
  • Cost effective electrical design solutions for manufacturability  
  • Collaborates effectively with technical cross-discipline to develop innovative system solutions
  • Creates and maintains final electrical engineering drawings and related documentation
  • Prepares and conducts technical design reviews  

Who You Are:

  • An Electrical Engineer with 8+ years experience in robotics or a related field.
  • A graduate of a bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent program. Master’s Degree preferred
  • Experience with robotic systems integration
  • An electrical engineer with a background in safety, electrical, and control systems designs, for industrial automation
  • Knowledgeable in both AC and DC, low and high voltage power distribution and protection systems.
  • Expertise in 3-phase industrial power systems for both USA and European standards.
  • Experienced in cable harness design and interconnect solutions
  • Experience with power electronics, motors, motor control, sensors (e.g., Hall effect, encoders, load cells)
  • Skilled in PCB design, schematic layout, and assembly (a plus)
  • Experience using Altium or equivalent to design electrical systems
  • Familiar with OnShape CAD or other similar systems (a plus)
  • Able and willing to work from our offices located in Cambridge, MA and Charlestown, MA at least 3x per week.
