You’re the driving force behind the operational readiness of our nation’s most critical industrial machinery. As our Onsite Machine Tool Maintenance Specialist at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, you’ll take total ownership of the assessment and preventative maintenance process for a massive range of both new and vintage machine tool and production equipment. Your mission is to continuously evolve these services, ensuring every machine is primed for peak performance before a problem ever starts. By mastering both mechanical and electrical systems, you’ll create a culture of safety and precision that keeps our customer’s mission moving forward without a single missed beat.
In this high-impact role, you’ll leverage your deep expertise in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and PLC controls to solve complex technical challenges with increasing speed and accuracy. You’re not just fixing machines; you’re providing elite technical oversight, training and support to customers, raising the bar for the entire maintenance team. Compensation at Phillips is based on the market and your individual level of contribution. The expected pay range for a qualified person in this role is between $85,000.00 and $140,000.00 annually plus bonus opportunities. Requirements
- 8 years or more of machine tool and/or industrial maintenance. Experience with manual and CNC machines, including lathes, mills, grinders, saws, press brakes and metrology equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, including intermediate to advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic systems
- If offered the role, you will need to relocate to the Portsmouth, NH area. Company will provide assistance in relocating.
- PLC and controls system experience, including reading, troubleshooting and editing ladder logic in a variety of PLC's, including Siemens Step 7, Allen-Bradley, Rockwell-Collins and Heidenhain.
- Military background/experience or experience working in a regulated environment is a plus.
- Due to customer requirements, candidates must be a US citizen to be considered
