Job Description

Job title:
Develops products, systems and/or solutions according to the V-model by applying internal and external research results and technology advancements while considering both total system requirements and detailed design implementation.

Your role:
Responsible for electronic and electrical development activities throughout the product lifecycle, including development, product release and sustaining engineering.

• Define and develop electronic circuit designs, including MCU, power, sensing, motor drive, connectivity and protection circuits.
• Create detailed circuit designs, conduct simulations and perform design verification testing.
• Hands-on hardware development and debugging while closely collaborating with software engineers.
• Select electronic components considering performance, availability, obsolescence and cost.
• Carry out PCB layout activities and support prototype build, integration and debugging.
• Establish hardware verification criteria, write hardware verification plans and execute design verification activities, including part and component level
• Analyze and resolve technical issues through structured root cause analysis.
• Support manufacturing, quality improvement and consumer complaint investigations.
• Ensure compliance with product safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain design documentation, BOM, design history files and related engineering records.
• Support planning activities and provide technical inputs to project teams.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing partners and cross-functional global teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of product quality, reliability and cost.
• Participate in innovation, quotation and development projects as a key technical contributor.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronic and Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of electronic product design and development experience.
• Experience across product design, development, testing and validation activities.
• Experience supporting products through NPI and volume manufacturing.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design.
• Strong understanding of microprocessors, microcontrollers and embedded systems.
• Experience in PCB design, debugging and design for EMC/EMI.
• Experience working with firmware/software teams in embedded product development.
• Understand product development methodologies, traceability methods and design processes.
• Strong understanding of system hardware architecture and subsystem integration.
• Experience in technical problem solving and root cause analysis.

Preferred

• Medical device development experience.
• Familiarity with Design for Six Sigma, Lean Development and FMEA.
• Knowledge of ISO13485 and risk management processes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills in a multi-functional environment.
• Able to influence technical decisions and drive technical solutions.
• Proficient in English and Chinese communication, both written and spoken.
• Occasional travel for business.
