Intern –Systems Engineering Intern, Oral Healthcare – Bothell, WA – Summer 2025

Are you interested in an internship contributing to continuous innovation in the oral healthcare industry? Philips seeks an intern for Oral Healthcare Systems Engineering. We advocate for our customers across the entire ecosystem of products, services, and digital experiences. We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) or graduate (MS) degree to participate in a 3-6 month paid internship at our site in Bothell, WA.

Your role

• This individual will contribute to the design and development of our next generation power toothbrush, interdental flossers, and/or whitening products.
• This includes requirement management, prototype testing, and test method development.
• You will have the opportunity to partner with a cross-functional team while learning about the full product development lifecycle, design controls, and risk management.
• Including: requirement management, concept generation and optimization, creation and validation of test methods, Product verification, Statistical data analysis, technical risk management, product reliability

You’re the right fit if:

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., mechanical, biomedical, electrical, or related STEM area)
• Awareness of and interest in product design concepts and methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Strong interest in learning
• You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Office/Remote position.
• In addition, the following qualifications are a plus: experience with statistical tools (e.g. Design of Experiments, Gauge R&R, Monte Carlo), experience with programming languages, such as Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, familiarity and interest in oral healthcare

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The hourly pay range for this position is $28.00 to $31.00, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position.  For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Bothell, WA.
