Your role:

As Integral Project Lead Front End Innovation, you will lead projects in the end-to-end (E2E) product creation cycle of Grooming & Beauty from value proposition creation, through advanced development. As part of this, you will

  • Lead one or more multi-disciplinary global project teams staffed with internal and external project members (Value Proposition Creation and Advanced Development)
  • Ensure projects are resourced effectively, building a winning team and steering the development team from value proposition to function-proven solutions.
  • Gives direction and leads complex, integral projects, from initial phase which are essential to Philips organizational strategy involving multiple business domains and knowledge centers inside and outside Philips and/or external business partners and/or customers
  • Define and achieve challenging project goals within budget, time and quality;
  • In collaboration with project stakeholders identifies project risks (opportunities and threats) and issues, identifies mitigation actions and supports in fostering a risk environment where considerate risk-taking behavior is encouraged, taking into consideration the balance between risk taking and risk escalations
  • Articulates complex schedules and interdependencies in a consumable way for stakeholders, can identify risks and issues and identifies mitigation actions and understands when to escalate.
  • Map and manage stakeholders within the organization, using tailored communication plans and reporting project status to different levels and needs.
  • In collaboration with the FEI PMO Group, build project management competence, recognizes critical project knowledge, values lessons learned, and shares critical project knowledge in the Philips Knowledge Hub. Drives opportunities in the Philips PM community to add value and uses internal network to advance other teams
  • Maintaining awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on relevant G&B Product Development
  • The position requires a high degree of flexibility and the ability to work both independently and within a team. Excellent problem solving (DFSS), critical thinking, analytical and communication skills are necessary to successfully deliver Philips G&B products and present Philips G&B message to individuals and groups in a professional manner


 

You are a part of

The Philips Grooming & Beauty, Philips Innovation Centre (PIC) PMO Team and will lead FEI projects and engineering activities. These activities require a broad spectrum of skills/capabilities, from project management, innovation management, product development and engineering. You are also responsible for End-to-end development of products and solutions for Grooming and Beauty Global/Regional Organization via in-house/outsource product development model.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business, Science or Engineering preferred)
  • 5+ years of experiences in creating strong propositions and products development
  • 5+ years in leading a cross-cultural and geographically dispersed project team developing consumer electronics or household products preferably in grooming, shaving or beauty related.
  • Ambitious leader, team player with a consumer-focused mindset, good coordination and organizational skills.
  • Subject Matter Expert in all aspects of Project Management Knowledge (PMP, Prince 2)
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of electronics and mechanical design aspects of household or consumer products
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Ability to tailor information and pitch at differing levels of detail, especially presenting management information to assist with and enable decision making
  • Strong interpersonal skills, result oriented self-starter with excellent communication and people skills, attention to detail and initiative
  • Fluent in English
  • Willing to travel

Desirable:

Experience/knowledge in the areas below.

  • Design for Six Sigma / Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement experience preferred
  • Solid experience in early phase of product development preferred.
  • PMI PMP certification preferred.
  • Product research, consumer research experience is a plus.
  • MBA or relevant business experience is a plus.



How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 4 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
