Job Description

Position Requirements: Principal Devops Engineer

Position Requirements:

•Evaluate industrial technology trends on cloud computing (more particularly IaaS)

•Coach and mentor other members of the technical staff on emerging technologies

•Design and implement Cloud based platform and service to customers

•Produce technical documentation

•Be responsible for recommending ways to improve the efficiency of our platform and technologies

•Maintain infrastructure standards and ensure they are documented and up to date

and lead efforts to take new technologies into stak on continual basis asappropriate

•Communicate to management on high-level business impact issues and technology decisions

Experience:

•5 years of Linux/Unix system administration experience.

•Analytical problem-solving and conceptual skills

•Experience with at least one virtualization stack VMware, Xen, Hyper-V

•Experience with migration technologies (Physical to Virtual (P2V), Virtual to Cloud (V2C) and Cloud to Cloud (C2C)

•Experience in one of the Cloud Management technologies Openstack, VMWare

VCloud Director and Apache Cloudstack

•Experience with networking technologies including TCP/IP VPN DNS routing firewalls VLAN.

•Experience with large-scale private or public cloudservice infrastructures supporting multi-tenant infrastructure or software as a service offers

•Experience with automation (Puppet, Chef etc.) and monitoring (Nagios, Cacti etc.) technologies in production setting

•Experience supporting a wide range of technologies including open-source, internally developed custom applications, commercial and cloud in an efficient and automated manner

•Good oral and written communication

Desirable Skills:

•Programming skills including experience with one ormore scripting languages such as Bash Perl, Python or PHP

•Knowledge of or experience with one or more IaaS offerings such as Amazon AWS, Rackspace Cloud, and Microsoft Azure etc.

•Storage Technologies (NAS, SAN & Cloud Storage)
