What You Will Achieve

You will help Pfizer SAP ERP build and support its information technology solutions. You will leverage your technical skills to design, develop, implement and support solutions which satisfy the short term or long terms needs of Pfizer. You will work on systems architecture and application infrastructure to deliver results.

As a Senior Manager, your advanced knowledge of the principles and concepts in the SAP BASIS discipline, OpenText Administration, and comprehensive knowledge of other disciplines will enable you to lead complex projects across the division. Your ability to develop and manage project plans will facilitate achieving objectives, interpreting internal and external technical and business challenges, recommending and implementing best practices for improvements. While managing complex project environments, you will be able to anticipate and troubleshoot roadblocks and influence teams to achieve goals and objectives.

In this position you will participate in the day to day BASIS support of Pfizer’s SAP systems.  This includes workday hours support as well as on call/after-hours responsibilities.  The SAP Basis tasks include,  applying OSS notes, migrating changes through the system landscapes, researching technical issues through searching SAP’s Service Marketplace, performing daily system health checks, and applying system support packs.

This position also will require extensive experience as the administrator of an SAP OpenText Solution  that utilizes integration with several SAP systems, and includes Archive Server, Content Server, Extended ECM and Directory Services. As administrator the candidate will address both support and design issues as well as drive system lifecycle activities.

  • Apply advanced knowledge of the principles, concepts and theories in SAP Basis administration and OpenText.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of principles and concepts in other SAP disciplines.
  • Take appropriate risks to advance innovative processes and methodologies based on comprehensive business and technical knowledge.
  • Manage / mitigate risk by working with the functional and technical teams to resolve conflicts and remove impediments.
  • Make decisions within general business line, functional lines and technical lines.
  • Work independently on most assignments using knowledge and work experience to achieve desired results.
  • Work may be indirectly reviewed through consultation and agreement with others, rather than by formal review with supervisor.
  • Interpret internal/external business challenges and best practices and recommend improvements to products, processes or services.
  • Develop ideas and work with other Solutions Delivery and Technical teams to identify opportunities for technology alignment, efficiency gains and process improvements.
  • Lead the implementation of process improvements as required.
  • Act as a technical liaison between the business, functional and technical teams to explain technical concepts, constraints and options.
  • Ensure that customer expectations have been met through delivery of services or projects.
  • Communicate project status, milestones and issues to project stakeholders and sponsors.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field
  • 10 years of SAP BASIS Administration experience
  • Advanced knowledge of OpenText products and solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP ABAP and Java system administration
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle and SAP HANA database systems
  • Deep understanding of systems and information architecture
  • Knowledge and experience working on global enterprise systems
  • Ability to contribute to the development and delivery of technology roadmaps aligned to Pfizer Digital strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working within a team environment across business functions to influence a desired outcome
  • Good stakeholder relationship management skills
  • Innovative mindset with strong delivery-oriented values
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft .NET, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends to implement systemic changes with a minimum of impactto business operations.

  • Master's degree

  • Familiarity with SAP PaaS and SaaS models and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
