ROLE SUMMARY
The mission of the PGS Digital Creation Centre Team is to revolutionise processes and elevate experiences, propelling Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) towards exceptional outcomes. The Digital Quality (DQ) Solution Centre, an integral function within PGS Digital, serves as a catalyst for transformation by delivering advanced solutions that revolutionise Quality Operations. Our mission is to empower and optimise the performance of our Laboratory (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams. Through the automation of processes and the implementation of innovative technologies, we enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our employees, leading to improved outcomes and elevated standards across the board. The Sr Manager Platform Engineering & Integration Lead will play a crucial role in our Digital Quality Solutions team, reporting directly to the Director, Digital Quality Integration & Solution Engineer you will lead technical colleagues focused on Platform engineering within Digital Quality. Your main responsibility will be to drive these teams towards a well-defined technical landscape that is efficient, cost effective and resilient. By integrating existing solutions and developing innovative ones, our aim is to enhance the digital user experience, boost efficiency, and minimise deviations.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions using Platform engineering standards.
Design and architect scalable and secure solutions that align with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) principles and best practices.
Lead the technical implementation and customisation of many Digital Quality platforms including but not limited to Veeva Vault eQMS platform, ensuring adherence to architectural guidelines and standards.
Provide guidance and support to development teams, helping them understand and implement architectural patterns and design principles.
Conduct system analysis, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to optimise the Veeva platform's performance and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and quality assurance professionals, to ensure successful delivery of projects and enhancements.
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to QC/QA/EHS platforms and SAFe methodology and recommend innovative approaches for continuous improvement.
Function as a subject matter expert, providing technical leadership and guidance to stakeholders, and participating in architectural reviews and governance activities.
Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment.
Customer engagement and product road map definition.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Relevant Experience: 8 years relevant experience with at least 4 years of experience in software architecture, with specific experience in implementing and customising low-code platforms such as VeevaVault.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) principles, Veeva Vault eQMS platform, and relevant technologies such as Java, JavaScript, SQL, and web services.
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and production operations.
Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
Job-Related Skills:
Demonstrated ability to design and architect scalable and secure solutions, conduct system analysis and performance tuning, and troubleshoot technical issues on the different PaaS products.
People management experience have managed a team up to 12 individuals, including performance assessment reports, conflict resolution techniques and underperformingsituations.
Solid ability to manage vendor contracts including but not limited to statements of work, budget forecast and reporting and general contract management.
Proven record producing financial reports and managing department budget allocation for both CapEx and Opex.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: Possession of any relevant certifications related to SAFe, Veeva Vault, or other relevant technologies.
Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to manage parallel objectives and changing priorities.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel up to 20%.
