The Adult Covid/Combo/Franchise Consumer Team Lead will be responsible for driving product and franchise strategy and for managing the team to execute across COVID, Combo & multi-product/franchise consumer marketing in close partnership with the Asset leads.
The role will require the ability to identify and understand complex drivers of consumer behavior across many broad dimensions, develop meaningful insights and create compelling strategies to influence consumer behavior. The ideal candidate will have high learning agility and demonstrated prior success in leading key marketing and strategic initiatives. He/she will provide clear strategic direction to the team and agencies to ensure all consumer initiatives are of the highest quality, and are executed flawlessly and in a compliant manner. The candidate will serve on the Consumer Vaccines leadership team, and will join a team that operates in an environment that embraces and encourages innovative ideas and creates a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
- Create, own and manage Adult Covid/Combo Products and Franchise consumer strategy
- Leadership of segment specific TV/Video, Social, and Digital Branded and Unbranded advertising and patient education
- Integration with Asset teams & partnership with other Sr. Directors (2) who oversee Older Adult & Ped/Maternal teams.
- Op Plan, Tactical plan, as well as budget/resource allocation management
- Management of team of 4-5+ direct reports including Breakthrough Fellow, FTEs (Directors, Sr. Managers) and contractors as applicable.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exhibit a high performance, values driven approach to develop strategies, identify opportunities and manage key issues to achieve revenue objectives
- Lead the execution of organizational plans to meet critical business planning deliverables including annual operating plan and annual consumer tactics
- Identify patient advocacy and partnership opportunities to drive patient education and engagement in targeted populations
- Partner with Pfizer BAI to ensure that all consumer tactics are measurable to drive future channel investment decisions and continuous optimization
- Manage the consumer media plan by adjusting the media mix as needed and & investment distribution recommendations
- Ensure focus on closing healthcare disparity gaps through a data-driven, targeted approach
- Close partnership with other Sr. Directors & cross functional partners to ensure aligned, robust synergy to deliver business objectives
- Member of the U.S. Vaccines Consumer leadership team; actively contributes to overall strategy for the brand portfolio, development of the team and accountability for the culture and environment
- Lead and develop a team of high-performing, engaged direct reports; proactively coaches for performance and career growth, models simplicity and Pfizer values, creates an environment with clear accountabilities and recognizes and rewards performance
- Conduct all responsibilities in accordance with Company policies, with a strong adherence to our Values including compliance
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree and 15 or more years of experience, 13 years with MBA, 10 years with PhD/equivalent
- Prior experience with the U.S. pharmaceutical marketplace required; 5+ years of marketing experience required
- Experience in consumer marketing strategy; digital as well as more traditional communication channel tactics
- Documented ability to effectively engage with stakeholders to drive behavior change
- Proven market development, customer experience and segmentation experience
- Strong business acumen including demonstrated strategic marketing and analytical thinking skills
- Strong project management, coordination skills across large groups of cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to ideate on a strategy and then pull that through into successful execution
- An absolute commitment to adherence to all applicable compliance rules and regulations
- Breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact

- Advanced degree
- Prior Vaccines experience required

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and lead colleagues outside of a direct reporting relationship through influence and persuasion.
