Description

Petcube, the leader in connected pet care devices, is seeking a Software Engineer to drive our backend development and DevOps efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust backend systems for our mobile apps and device connectivityImplement best practices (SOLID, KISS, DRY) for high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Design secure architectures for our cloud servicesManage end-to-end DevOps processes and infrastructureOptimize database performance, particularly MySQL, for large-scale data handling.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of our cloud-based services


Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as Backend EngineerStrong proficiency in PHP, (Symfony framework).
  • Solid experience with Kubernetes, Helm charts, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Working knowledge of Python, Golang, and JavaExpertise in implementing security best practices across software development and cloud environments.
  • Strong skills in database optimization, particularly MySQL.
  • Thorough understanding and application of CI/CD principlesExperience with monitoring and logging systems for distributed devicesWill be a plusUnderstanding of cybersecurity principles in cloud environments.
  • Experience with secure coding practices and security-focused code reviews.
  • Familiarity with video streaming technologies and real-time communication systems.
