About The Role (What you will get to do)

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will work collaboratively with Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Cloud Architecture, Security, and Quality Assurance teams to assess, codify, automate, deploy, and validate the Persefoni SaaS platform in a dynamic greenfield environment, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, should feel comfortable taking ownership of issues and solutions, and enjoys working in a fast paced startup environment to deliver customer results.  Activities include but are not limited to the analysis of software components, networking, hardware requirements, version control architecture, and delivery processes to streamline Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes.

Responsibilities (What we expect)

  • Serve as a key member of the DevSecOps team to streamline process delivery for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
  • Participate in or lead DevSecOps reviews of the Persefoni Carbon Management Accounting Platform (CMAP) to identify issues, solutions, and remediations.
  • Work collaboratively with the Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Information Security teams to help Persefoni maintain focus on data driven decisions and a data informed culture.
  • Document designs, key decisions, architectures, and issues to allow for future troubleshooting and scaling of the Cloud Architecture and DevSecOps teams.
  • Protect the confidential data of Persefoni, Persefoni’s employees, and Persefoni’s customers.
  • Stay current on DevOps and security industry trends of DevSecOps/DevOps best practices and tool sets.

Qualifications (What you bring to the role)

  • 5 years AWS and 5+ years application or infrastructure architecture.
  • Strong containerization knowledge with a focus on Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS ECS Fargate services, including a solid understanding of AWS services such as CloudFormation, RDS, Redis, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, IAM, and ELB, and other providers such as Github.
  • Experience creating, deploying, and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across multiple environments, with a willingness to help define DevOps and security standards used by multiple teams.
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD in AWS leveraging DevSecOps tools such as Github and ArgoCD.  
  • Knowledge of container and virtualization architectures, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Platform as a Service (PaaS), automated test tools, security scanning tools, and multi-host container networking are highly desirable.
  • Experience using Java-based test Automation applications such as Playwright and Postman.
  • Experience with Datadog or other leading APM and tracing platforms is a plus.
  • Experience working in high-compliance environments with a focus on ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, including but not limited to VPC API Virtual Gateways, App Mesh, API Gateway, CloudFront, VPN, Subnets, Security Groups, CloudTrail, and Transit Gateway configurations.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Data Lakehouse architectures with a focus on Databricks, Snowflake, DBT and Business Intelligence technologies is preferred.
  • Associate or Professional level of AWS Developer, Solutions Architect, or SysOps certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAST and DAST in a complex environment is ideal.
  • Proficiency in English language is highly preferred. 

Job Type:

Full-time position located in Vietnam governed by Vietnam labour regulations, with the Persefoni entity being established in Vietnam.
