Forward Deployed Engineer

Department: Product

Location: San Francisco Office

Employment Type: FullTime

About Us

The more AI does, the more people want to be in the same room. The retirement party. The rehearsal dinner. The offsite where a team that has only met over video finally sits at one table.

Someone has to make those gatherings happen, and today that person is drowning. Private events and group dining are an $80 billion market in the United States, and most of it still runs on email chains and spreadsheets or legacy software.

At Perfect Venue we are on a mission to bring communities together by making it effortless to plan events. We combine intuitive software with AI agents that make it easy for venues to increase sales, save hours every week, and bring their communities together.

We are backed by top investors and operators like the Hustle Fund, Defy.vc, Amity Ventures and are used by thousands of venues nationwide from Michelin star restaurants to your favorite bar.

About the Role
We are hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to get our AI features working for real venues. We've launched agents that help our customers send messages, build menus, and more. Every venue runs its business differently, and the gap between a feature that works in general and one that works for a specific customer is where you come in.

This role is based in San Francisco, in office 5 days per week so that you can work closely with sales, customer success, and engineering. Expect regular time on-site with customers.

What you'll own
You own AI adoption for our customers end to end.

• Embed. Work directly with restaurants and venues to learn how they handle inquiries, menus, and follow-up. Find where our AI falls short for them.

• Customize. Customize the AI features to our customers needs so that they can be successful.

• Drive adoption. Track and improve customizations so that they drive real outcomes for our customers.

• Feed the product. Turn patterns across customers into improvements for the core product. Bring engineering the problems worth solving for everyone. Help write evals to improve performance.

What we're looking for

• You love working with customers, but also have a technical background

• You have built products where AI features are core to the user experience

• You are familiar with LLM observability tools

• You have been a founder or worked at an early stage startup

• You have a strong sense of urgency and move quickly

• Bonus: experience in hospitality, restaurants, or events

What We Offer

• Competitive compensation including meaningful equity you’ll actually be able to use

• Medical, vision, and dental with paid premiums for you, cost-sharing for dependents

• Flexible PTO & 401(k)

• Daily lunches when onsite

• Unlimited book budget

• Company laptop

• Complimentary One Medical membership for you and your family

Perfect Venue is committed to building a winning team
