Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Lead Cyber Security Architect to join our innovative engineering team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the successful configuration and implementation of security solutions to reduce risk to an acceptable level. This role is pivotal in driving our efforts in one or more phases of software systems development, systems integration, or network engineering critical to the USPS program's mission.

Required to be local to Washington, DC area. Remote work allowed.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

• Responsible for guiding the design and implementation of secure solutions and services across our business and IT support areas.
• Blend expert knowledge in Enterprise Architecture and Defense-In-Depth principles to provide input to Security Authorization process activities and related documentation (e.g., system life- cycle support plans, concepts of operations, operational procedures and maintenance of training materials).
• Validate accuracy and applicability of technical solutions to incorporate environmental conditions with business needs.
• Drive standardization of architectures for future use.
• Work as a recognized authority on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative.
• Determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.
• Prepare and deliver analysis and presentations to colleagues, subordinates, and USPS representatives.
• Assure the proper use of current or requested engineering, configuring, p rogramming, testing, and documentation techniques. Produce and/or review documentation and reports reflecting knowledge of areas.
• Provide security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management as required.
• Validate and verify system security requirements definitions and analysis and establishes system security designs as required.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years' work experience, Master's degree with 6+ years' work experience or High School diploma/equivalent with 12+ years' experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• U.S Citizenship or Green Card holder.
• Residing in the U.S for the past five years with no more than 6 months travel outside the U.S. during this time frame.
• Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members)
• Experience designing, developing, implementing and/or integrating security systems and system components.
• Experience with validating and verifying system security requirements definitions and analysis, along with establishing system security designs.
• Leadership experience with planning and managing security engagements.
Certifications of at least ONE or more of the following required:

• CompTIA Net+
• CompTIA A+
• CompTIA Security +
• CPTE - Certified Penetration Testing Engineer or CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker
• CISSP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSMP preferred
• CISA - Certified Information Systems Auditor Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
