SodaStream: Lab Testing Engineer

Location: Kefar Sava, Israel

Overview (English) At SodaStream, we are passionate about creating innovative consumer products that combine quality, performance, and sustainability. We are looking for a hands-on Lab Testing Engineer to join our R&D team and play a key role in validating new products and technologies throughout the development lifecycle. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing product validation tests for SodaStream machines, bottles, valves, pressure systems, and other components. You will work closely with Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure products meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance before being released to production. #LI-Hybrid #sodastream Responsibilities (English) Plan, execute, and document laboratory testing and validation activities for new and existing products. Develop and perform reliability, durability, pressure, burst, fatigue, and functional tests on products and components. Design, build, adapt, and maintain testing fixtures, test setups, and laboratory equipment required for product validation. Define testing methodologies, acceptance criteria, and measurement approaches in collaboration with R&D and Engineering teams. Conduct initial product qualification testing during development phases and support the transfer of validated test methods to manufacturing sites. Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide data-driven recommendations to improve product performance and quality. Investigate failures and perform root cause analysis to support product improvements and corrective actions. Operate and utilize advanced measurement and inspection equipment, including X-ray CT scanning, 3D scanning, and other laboratory measurement tools. Create and maintain test reports, procedures, specifications, and validation documentation. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to laboratory capabilities, testing methodologies, and validation processes. Develop and optimize quality-control testing methods that can later be implemented by manufacturing quality teams. Qualifications (English) Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. 3–5 years of experience in QA/QC, product testing and dimentional measurements, laboratory engineering, validation engineering, or quality engineering roles. Experience working with physical products within industrial, manufacturing, consumer products, automotive, medical device, or similar environments. Hands-on experience with laboratory testing, measurement equipment, and product validation activities. Strong mechanical understanding and ability to troubleshoot product and testing-related issues. Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and test documentation. Experience performing data analysis and preparing technical reports. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Fluent English communication skills.
