Principal Engineer - Engineering Project Management
Location: Plano, Texas, United States
Overview Lead a team of 3-5 engineers to develop project execution plans to meet the annual Capacity & Growth agenda goals delivered by technology, equipment boosts, layout changes, and other increased capability technologies. Serves as Engineering primary point of contact to Asset Strategy for Capacity solutions Deliverables include preparation of functional scopes, CAPEX estimates, and deployment strategies. Including a direct partnership with technical equipment commercialization teams and Finance to develop the business case. Drive production line configuration changes to achieve fit and function for key technologies Perform project technical reviews with the site and appropriate SME’s to ensure consistency on strategy, performance, equipment and installation standards, and cost metrics. Submit accurate period and FY cash flow forecast estimates (Capital & Expense) for all projects Present projects at capital approval venues (D&C, PARC & SPARC). Manage, coach and develop project managers working on multiple projects Responsibilities Leads large projects and programs in field locations independently with minimal direction and guidance to meet or exceed project expectations Develops and sets goals that maximize project or program results; assigns resources and timelines effectively to deliver on-time start ups Manages, communicates and mitigates project risks effectively Forecasts, manages, and controls project costs to meet or exceed project expectations Partners with other functions (R+D, Finance, HQ COEs, the Field) to create mutually beneficial project results Leads initiatives to enhance organizational capability Develops new contractors in project management areas of expertise Teaches project management best practices and cross functional project dependencies to others Leads large teams of contractors Builds and maintains external connections to technology, vendors and equipment suppliers to inform project plans and deliverables Develops persuasive and focused communications to enable effective leadership decision making Identifies resource needs and builds effective teams Champions strategic change that drives business results & seeks holistic cost reduction opportunities Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $110,700 - $185,250. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.
