Responsibilities The Opportunity This role ensures the development of Demand Management and Forecasting capabilities to meet PepsiCo's needs in LATAM, evolving from basic statistical forecasting to advanced AI/ML-driven models. The person in this role will work closely with the Data Science team to design and pilot new forecasting techniques, supporting the transition to "touchless planning." Additionally, this role involves collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain to create an effective Demand Plan. The goal is to resolve concerns and maximize business value from the process, ensuring the right operating model is in place for Demand Planning. An effective Demand Design and Development IBP process will: Navigate challenging circumstances and make timely trade-offs to optimize performance. Identify emerging trends and opportunities, using data to develop agile proposals for leveraging them. Help sectors meet or exceed financial targets. Your Impact As the LATAM Demand Planning & Forecasting Lead, you will: Define and evolve the forecasting capabilities and operating model within the IBP process (iS&OE, iS&OP, iSP), integrating elements like driver-based forecasting and demand sensing. Maintain a centralized repository for forecasting methodologies and blueprints. Collaborate with demand planning leads to create roadmaps toward Level 5 maturity capabilities. Own the forecasting services catalogue and ensure alignment with business needs. Design and monitor KPIs and performance metrics for forecasting within the IBP framework. Support the implementation of strategies for process improvements, cost reduction, and software investments. Ensure that user requirements are met and drive the development of data, technology, and analytics ecosystems. Champion and govern the IBP and Demand Planning processes, addressing inefficiencies and promoting process adherence. Share best practices across the organization and build an external network to stay updated on forecasting innovations. Ensure IBP sub-processes operate effectively, delivering value through forecasting capabilities. Lead continuous improvement efforts to elevate forecasting across Sectors and BUs. Own the IBP Demand forecasting capabilities and develop integrated action plans in collaboration with other IBP process leads. Qualifications Who Are We Looking For? Experience Expert on Demand Management, Forecasting and Modelling from a functional perspective as well as Demand Planning processes, DP tools and organization on fast moving consumer goods. Forecasting including advanced modelling forecasting with AI/ML and Time-Series techniques, demand sensing, promotions forecasting, new product introduction forecasting, demand shaping and demand scenarios modelling Would typically have a strong demand planning background with sound supply chain & commercial understanding, including S&OE, S&OP, AOP and PSP experience. Strong team player Advanced English (written & spoken) Skills The ability to influence Market and Sector Leadership Teams to ensure that they are taking the necessary actions to sustain and develop the parts of the overall IBP process for which they and their teams are responsible. This Relationship focus and ability to deliver clear results will be imperative in ensuring the success of the future state. The job holder will need to be able to lead the process to drive tangible value. As well as driving improved KPI performance, tangible evidence of the cross-functional resolution of business dilemmas will be required. IBP is a developing process within PepsiCo and, as such, the discipline and focus on sustaining process is essential. This jobholder will play a critical role in ensuring successful process implementations by maintaining a positive approach, ongoing engagement and alignment with key stakeholders and supporting the BU IBP lead in solving issues that arise during the implementation period.
