Deputy Director - Data Architecture & Governance

Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India

Overview We are seeking an experienced Manager to join the Data Governance (DG) Platform Team, responsible for leading the technical implementation, expansion, and run operations of PepsiCo’s global data privacy platform, Securiti.ai. This role is accountable for delivering scalable privacy tooling capabilities across the enterprise, ensuring the platform is configured, integrated, and operationalized to meet evolving business and regulatory needs. This position will partner closely with the Data Governance Policy as well as Legal Privacy teams to understand and define data privacy requirements and implement through platform-based capabilities, workflows, and automations. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Own the end-to-end technical implementation and enhancement roadmap for Securiti.ai, partnering with key stakeholders across Data Governance, Data Stewardship, Legal Privacy, and Data Product Management. Translate privacy process requirements into platform configurations, workflows, rules, automation, and integrations (APIs, connectors, etc.). Lead delivery of core privacy workflows (e.g., consent, PIAs, ROPA, DSR) including design, build, test, release, and post-production stabilization. Drive enterprise integrations between Securiti.ai and PepsiCo applications to enable automation and scaled data discovery/fulfillment. Own technical delivery management: project execution, backlog grooming, dependency tracking, risk management, release planning, and go-live readiness. Partner with InfoSec/IT stakeholders to ensure implementations align with security, architecture, and operational standards (e.g., access controls, logging, SDLC, environments). Establish and maintain platform run excellence: monitoring, incident triage, root cause analysis, defect remediation, SLA adherence, and continuous improvement. Produce and maintain technical documentation (solution designs, configuration baselines, integration specs, runbooks, and release notes) and contribute to platform adoption enablement. People Leadership & Stakeholder Management Manage a team of FTE and contract resources, including onboarding, work planning, coaching, and delivery accountability. Serve as a key technical point of contact for senior stakeholders, providing clear status reporting (risks/issues, progress updates, escalations, etc.) Coordinate effectively across DG Platform, DG Capability teams, Legal Privacy, Compliance, IT/InfoSec, Data Product teams, and vendor partners to drive timely delivery. Qualifications Qualifications & Requirements 10+ years of overall experience Experience in data privacy related role in complex global organization. Hands-on Securiti.ai experience is required, including configuration and delivery of at least several core modules (Consent mgt, PIAs, ROPA, DSR, etc.). Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise implementations involving workflow automation, systems integrations, and production operations. Working knowledge of major privacy regulations and concepts (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) and ability to translate obligations into technical requirements and controls. Strong technical fluency with APIs/integrations, environments, testing, and operational readiness; ability to work effectively with engineers and architects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate clearly with both technical teams and non-technical senior stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred Skills Applied scripting or programming capability (e.g., SQL, JavaScript) and comfort working with APIs and automation. Experience with consent management implementations across web/mobile and enterprise tagging/consent patterns.
