Cloud Sr Automation Engineer
Location: Plano, Texas, United States
Overview Design, development and maintenance of DevX/Cloud Marketplace Platform, Cloud Infrastructure Automation of different OS platforms and DB Technologies (IaaS and PaaS) for PepsiCo Enterprise Azure, AWS, GCP and Private Cloud environments using Ansible and TerraForm Responsibilities Accountabilities Drive platform modernization and self-service by developing scalable tools and services using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and related technologies—enabling an intuitive, collaborative, automated, and fully auditable user experience. Accelerate engineering velocity and standardization by establishing and evolving CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, coding standards, and automated delivery practices. Scale infrastructure automation through the development and management of Ansible playbooks, PowerShell scripts, Terraform, and ARM templates, improving reliability, consistency, and operational efficiency. Drive AI adoption across ESS to accelerate software development, improve engineering productivity, and unlock measurable efficiency gains. Operationalize automation at scale by transforming repeatable operational processes into resilient, sustainable, and measurable automation solutions. Establish end-to-end platform support by serving as a conduit to the CTS support framework, ensuring the Automation platform is operationally resilient. Strengthen security and governance by partnering with the ISG team to proactively address security requirements, governance standards, remediation, and compliance across ESS service offerings. Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $80,200 - $134,250. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement. Qualifications 3-5 years total development and automation experience using Ansible, TerraForm, Python and other DevOps technologies Extensive experience in writing Ansible Playbooks and TF modules, config files 3+ years of experience of automating IT Infrastructure - compute (Windows and Linux OS with RHEL, SLES and OEL), Network, Storage and Databases (relational and non-relational) 3+ years of experience in automating Cloud resources in Azure and AWS public clouds 3+ years of experience administrating Ansible Infrastructure Platform 3+ years of experience in Version Control systems with ADO (Azure Dev Ops) or Github Understanding and Exposure to automating infrastructure in Nutanix private cloud environment.
