While other sectors have shifted to eCommerce-first models, the food & beverage industry has mostly relied on traditional brick-and-mortar approaches. This is rapidly changing, with new technologies reshaping how we reach consumers, from digital marketing to online grocery platforms and fast at-home delivery tools. By 2024, 70% of U.S. consumers are expected to shop for groceries online, spending over $100 billion annually. To lead this shift, PepsiCo – home to iconic brands like Frito-Lay, Gatorade, Pepsi, and Quaker – is expanding its Global eCommerce Team. Your Impact As a Backend Sr Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in developing high-quality software for our growing eCommerce platforms. Your responsibilities will include: Leading full-stack feature development, including data modeling, testing, scalability, and metrics. Ensuring high software quality by reviewing code, defining best practices, and mentoring junior engineers. Collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, designers, engineers, and business stakeholders. Developing automated test scripts (using Javascript/Typescript and Cypress) to ensure software quality. Working on core technology platforms such as Direct Commerce, Supply Chain, Marketing Automation, and Data. Iterating quickly to add business value, while maintaining a focus on quality through peer reviews and test automation. Qualifications ¿Who Are We Looking For? 2+ years of experience using Elixir Intermediate/Advanced English Experience with programming languages (JavaScript, Elixir, etc.) Experience with Elixir, Phoenix, GraphQL (desirable) Relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, or similar What can you expect from us: Opportunities to learn and develop every day through a wide range of programs.
