APAC Engineering Manager

Location: Klongtoey, Bangkok, Thailand

Overview The APAC Engineering Supervisor role is being established as part of a new regional team structure to strengthen project execution and technical support across Asia BU and ANZ. With increasing complexity and volume of innovation, capacity expansion, and bottler-driven projects, there is a need for a dedicated role to ensure standardized engineering practices, timely delivery, and alignment across markets. This role will improve coordination between OU teams, bottlers, and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring efficient deployment of processing and packaging solutions. It also supports capability building in emerging markets (e.g., Thailand, Myanmar, Laos) and ensures compliance with quality (CQV), EHS, and product standards. Responsibilities Asia BU/ANZ Innovation projects and Bottlers /JV /Coman technical support on processing / Pkg line design. Engineering Standards & Capital Project Governance -Establish and maintain engineering standards, specifications, and design guidelines for beverage manufacturing (processing, packaging, utilities, hygienic design) aligned with PepsiCo requirements- Ensure all capital projects comply with technical standards, food safety, and quality requirements- Support project execution through design review, equipment selection, commissioning, and qualification (FAT/SAT/CQV)- Provide technical guidance to OU teams, bottlers, and project stakeholders to ensure consistent engineering implementation across market . Engineering Capability Building (People Development) - Develop and deploy structured engineering capability programs for APAC OU teams, bottlers, and co-manufacturers- Define engineering competency frameworks (process, packaging, utilities, project execution)- Conduct coaching, training, and knowledge transfer to strengthen regional engineering capability- Promote adoption of PepsiCo best practices, standards, and digital tools across sites Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, EHS, Procurement, and Finance teams- Act as a key interface between OU teams, bottlers, OEMs, and contractors for project alignment and execution- Translate business requirements into robust engineering solutions- Provide clear communication on project progress, risks, and technical decisions to stakeholders Cost Optimization & Sustainability - Drive engineering cost optimization through: * Standardization of design and equipment * Value engineering and total cost of ownership (TCO) approach - Support delivery of PEP+ sustainability agenda: * Energy efficiency * Water reduction * Waste and CO₂ reduction - Contribute to CAPEX prioritization, ROI analysis, and budget control- Identify and implement sustainable engineering solutions across projects and operation Support Manager for Administrative/Technical support works for Thailand, Myanmar and Laos Bottlers. Qualifications Bachelor of Mechanical,Electrical,Chemical,Industrial and other related Engineering. Minimum of 10 years' experience in Manager roles and Beverage Manufacturing plant Proven experience leading large CAPEX projects and multi-site engineering programs Strong knowledge of packaging lines, process systems, utilities, and hygienic design. Experience working in regional or multinational organizations preferred Experience working with main Beverage equipment OEM’s eg. Krones, Siedel, KHS etc. is a plus. Basic knowledge of TPM and Kaizen.
