About the Client
A consumer-focused brand organization spanning consumer electronics, wellness, and lifestyle categories is looking for a Packaging Designer to lead packaging and visual design solutions across its product portfolio.

The organization operates across multiple consumer product categories, working with external creative and production partners to bring packaging systems from concept through to shelf. The team blends strategic brand thinking with hands-on production oversight, treating packaging as a core brand touchpoint rather than an afterthought.

About the Role
The Packaging Designer will own packaging design end-to-end — from initial concept through production-ready files — shaping how consumers first encounter the brand on shelf, in the unboxing moment, and across retail and campaign touchpoints. The role also extends into art direction for product launches and campaigns, and into retail and point-of-sale asset design.

Success in this role means packaging systems that are visually compelling, production-accurate, and consistent across every consumer touchpoint — elevating brand perception while staying true to structural and material requirements.

Core Responsibilities

Packaging Design & Production

• Lead the creative development of packaging systems from concept through production
• Design packaging for consumer electronics, wellness, lifestyle, and other consumer product categories
• Oversee packaging production processes to ensure designs are retail-ready and technically accurate
• Align structural, material, and print specifications with production and vendor requirements

Brand & Visual Systems Development

• Translate brand strategy into packaging solutions across structure and visual design
• Build and maintain visual systems that stay consistent across packaging, retail, and marketing channels
• Extend brand identity across consumer touchpoints using consistent typography, color, and layout

Art Direction & Retail Assets

• Art direct product launches, packaging refreshes, and brand campaigns
• Create retail displays, point-of-sale materials, and supporting brand assets
• Maintain visual consistency between retail-facing assets and the core packaging system

Collaboration & Stakeholder Presentation

• Collaborate with marketing, product development, production, and external vendor teams
• Present creative concepts and design rationale to internal stakeholders and clients
• Incorporate stakeholder feedback into iterative design revisions

Creative Leadership & Mentorship

• Mentor junior designers on packaging and brand design craft
• Review junior designers' work and provide production-focused design feedback
• Contribute to creative direction and quality standards across the design team

Requirements

Must-Have

• 3+ years of experience in packaging design, brand design, or creative direction
• Portfolio demonstrating packaging design and visual systems work across at least one consumer category (electronics, wellness, lifestyle, or CPG)
• Working knowledge of packaging structures, materials, and print production processes (dielines, substrates, ink types)
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign for packaging and brand collateral production
• Demonstrated experience developing and extending brand identity systems across packaging, retail, and marketing touchpoints
• Experience art directing product launches, campaigns, or packaging refreshes
• English at C1+ CEFR level

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with 3D packaging visualization tools such as Adobe Dimension or Cinema 4D
• Background leading creative projects end-to-end, from strategy through execution
• Experience with global or international brand rollouts
• Direct experience collaborating with packaging manufacturers or production vendors
• Familiarity with retail merchandising and point-of-sale display design
