Analytics Engineer

Every activation, redemption and top-up generates valuable data that can be transformed into meaningful insights about client performance, customer engagement and growth opportunities.

We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to bring this data together and turn it into trusted, actionable insights that help our Customer Success and Account Management teams make informed decisions, identify opportunities and better support our clients.

The Role

This is a hands-on, build role, where you will help establish and own DataCandy’s customer data foundation. You will centralise product, client, commercial and lifecycle data in Databricks, develop consistent business metrics, and surface meaningful insights through Salesforce to help teams identify opportunities, risks and priorities.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain reliable data pipelines and models across Salesforce, transaction, product, onboarding, renewal, pricing and support data.
• Develop and maintain a governed Client 360 view connecting accounts, locations, products, commercial terms, adoption and revenue performance.
• Define and document trusted metrics for GRR, NRR, churn, client health, time-to-value and renewal risk.
• Develop automated client health scoring and renewal-risk triggers across the customer portfolio.
• Surface clear, actionable client insights in Salesforce to support Customer Success and Account Management teams.
• Prepare governed, high-quality datasets to support AI and agentic workflows.

What You’ll Bring

• 2–4+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering or a related field.
• Strong SQL skills and solid working knowledge of Python.
• Hands-on experience with PySpark and Databricks, including Delta, Jobs and Workflows.
• Cloud platform experience, with GCP preferred.
• Experience with version control, code review, CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
• Practical experience using AI coding assistants and agentic workflows.
• Strong Excel skills for ad hoc analysis and reporting.
• Strong written English and the ability to clearly document technical work.

Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:

• Salesforce data models
• SaaS retention and customer health metrics
• dbt
• Payments, loyalty or B2B SaaS environments
