What you need to know about the role :

We are looking for a person who is hands-on and results-oriented Engineering Leader for the Customer service engineering team, which is a critical function of the overall Customer Success Platform organization. Strong technical background, demonstrated experience in leading Platform and Application Engineering work and great people skills to build highly competent and productive teams are key qualifications and traits to be successful in this role.

This is a diverse and geo-distributed team of very talented and passionate engineers grounded on solid engineering principles and operational excellence working on simplifying and solving some of the complex problems in managing an internet scale platform.

Your way to impact :

Design and implement short and long term strategic plans to meet current and future requirements Lead engineering efforts in driving the product roadmap and business requirements.  Has to manage a team that will support multiple CS applications and infrastructure and hold the team together. Develop a software lifecycle model to manage the engineering discipline.

Your day to day :

Develop a software lifecycle model to manage the engineering discipline as we do for code – like CI/CD, auditability and traceability  Perform R&D to strategize for long term to bring in the best and most modern tools and technologies and recommendations backed with data to influence management to take right long-term decisions.

What do you need to bring:

  • At least 3+ years professional software engineering manager experience or strong tech lead experience with some management experience.

  •  8+ years of hand on software development experience using Java.

  •  Computer Science bachelor's degree, relevant technical degree or equivalent experience

  •  Strong leadership presence and ability to lead directly and through influence to drive execution of strategy in a global organization with competing priorities.

  •  Possesses strong operational and project management experience, driving exceptional results every day.

  • Experience and knowledge with helping team develop and automate code testing, within high test coverage.

  •  Skilled in API frameworks, backend technologies, micro-service architecture and CI/CD tools.

  • Exposure to front end and full stack design and development

  • Proven experience leading engineering teams supporting multiple business functions.

  • Experience with Agile development and methodologies. Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Exposure to machine learning a big plus.

  • Additional Qualifications: Thrive in an environment of constant change and be a quick learner undaunted by complex systems.
