As a Cloud Engineer, you will assist in the implementation and management of technology-based business solutions based on Cloud Services to improve our clients’ delivery approach. You will be analyzing and implementing configuration changes and assisting in the design of cloud related solutions to meet both functional and technical requirements.

The CloudNX team supports development and operations of the infrastructure platform used by application developers within Braintree. We partner closely with developers to understand their needs and introduce functionality to meet those needs.

As a Cloud Engineer, you will assist in the implementation and management of technology-based business solutions based on Cloud Services to improve our clients’ delivery approach. You will be analyzing and implementing configuration changes and assisting in the design of cloud related solutions to meet both functional and technical requirements. 

  

Your day-to-day

• Supporting the technical design process by participating in the analysis of technical requirements. 
• Assisting in the implementation of analyses that will identify requirements related to processes & technology. 
• Participating in execution and documentation of cloud implementations. 
• Utilizing cloud tools to standardize and automate infrastructure deployment and management activities. 
• Assisting in the Development of cloud technology roadmaps, provide technical advice and solutions to address customer requirements. 

 What you need to bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience 
• Excellent communication skills verbal & written in English. To be able to communicate with IT teams and departments, end users and customers 
• A passionate techie, who loves solving customer problems with cutting-edge technology. 
• A demonstrable interest and desire to work in technology 
• Customer centric, passionate about delivering great digital products and services 
• Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently and manage multiple task assignments 
• Complete complex tasks with minimal supervision 
• Ability to support project team to prioritize activities and conduct deliverables as planned 
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment under deadlines in a changing environment. 

Desirable experience 

• 3+ years of software development experience
• Strong experience with AWS
• Are well versed in container orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS). 
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Cloud formation, AWS CDK
• Familiarity with GraphQL is a plus
• Solid expertise in CI/CD systems
• Familiar with observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk
• Programming background (Python, Ruby, Bash)
• Advanced knowledge of Linux, networking, databases 
• Are familiar with distributed systems

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is

$72700 to $176000
