Our mission is to provide world-class platforms, practices, and services that ensure customers see PayPal as the most reliable commerce platform on the planet. We create solutions that prevent incidents. We enable visibility, insight, and rapid restoration that ranges from the smallest detectable customer impact to the largest events outside our control. Key Responsibilities:
Software Engineering:
Build next-gen applications to enable PayPal to meet higher site reliability standards, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality, performance, and security.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, leads, and architects to translate requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
Work across locations and geographies to deliver quality products.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software development. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for code, APIs, and technical processes.
Innovation:
Identify and advocate for new technologies and methodologies to improve development processes and product offerings.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Java and related frameworks such as SpringBoot and Hibernate.
Experienced in Python.
A deep understanding of data structures, object-oriented design, and algorithms.
Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and in-memory databases.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Knowledge of code versioning tools, such as Git.
It is nice to have familiarity with Front End technologies such as React, Express, Node
Experience working in payments or financial services industry is a plus.
